Useful Advice and Info for Optimal Results

What is Microblading?

Microblading is a refined permanent makeup technique, a form of tattooing, where hyper-realistic hair strokes are mimicked using a manual pen and sterile needles.

How Should I Prepare?

You may bring your makeup and pencils to the consultation, so I can get an idea of how you like your brows. Together, we’ll review your options, and I’ll provide professional advice.

Is Microblading Painful?

Depending on your pain threshold, the procedure may be mildly uncomfortable. Tingling sensations are normal during the treatment, and I use an effective and legal anesthetic to increase comfort.

Duration of the Treatment

The procedure takes about 2-3 hours, so take your time. You can drive home immediately after, without swollen eyes or discomfort.

Healing and Aftercare

After the treatment, how does the healing process go?
You may experience local sensitivity, tingling, and redness after the treatment. It’s important to apply a healing balm daily and avoid picking at any scabs or flakes for the best results. Healing usually proceeds smoothly, and there are no side effects since no medication is used. The results generally last around a year, depending on factors such as following instructions, sun exposure, medication, and hormonal changes.

The Color Is Dark After the Treatment
Directly after the procedure, the color may appear darker than expected, which is normal. In the weeks following, the color will gradually lighten to the desired shade. The fine flakes or scabs will disappear within 3-7 days, depending on your healing. You can drive normally. Avoid water, shampoo, soap, or other products on the brows during the healing process. After 4-6 weeks, you’ll return for a touch-up, included in the price.

Benefits of Microblading

  • No more pencils needed.
  • Natural, hyper-realistic eyebrows.
  • Full brows drawn hair by hair.
  • Brows reshaped perfectly.
  • Ideal for people allergic to conventional makeup.
  • Shine every day with minimal effort.
  • Light correction of asymmetry.
  • Camouflages scars in the brows.
  • Saves time.

Disadvantages of Microblading

  • The treatment may be painful, but I use effective numbing to minimize discomfort.
  • Results need to be refreshed annually, which is normal.
  • If not done professionally, microblading can be difficult to remove.
  • You need to protect your eyebrows in the Sun, which is a small habit

Safety and Hygiene

When performed professionally, microblading is completely safe. I use professional equipment, safe pigments, and legal anesthetics. All treatments are carried out in optimal hygienic conditions, in accordance with FOD Health standards, and the pigments meet the REACH 2022 regulations.

Indications

  • No eyebrows.
  • Asymmetry in the brows
  • Local or total hair loss (alopecia).
  • Difficulty drawing or lack of patience.
  • Allergies to conventional makeup.
  • Facial or motor issues.

Contraindications

During the consultation, we’ll discuss whether the treatment is suitable, based on factors like pregnancy, medication use, skin type, skin conditions, and age (under 18 requires parental consent).

Complications

Infections can always occur, even under the best hygienic conditions. That’s why I use only sterile needles and follow optimal hygiene practices. Ensure that the professional has completed the mandatory hygiene course for your peace of mind.
